Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 — Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park (about 2–3 hours). Famous for its enormous elephant population and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers a classic African safari landscape.

Enjoy an extensive game drive with chances to see lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and an impressive variety of birdlife. A picnic lunch is served inside the park.

Later in the afternoon, drive to your lodge near Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 — Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, enter Lake Manyara National Park — one of Tanzania’s most scenic parks, nestled dramatically at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

The park is famous for its lush groundwater forest, large troops of baboons, tree-climbing lions (occasionally spotted), and thousands of flamingos when conditions are right.

Despite its compact size, Manyara offers exceptional wildlife density and stunning photographic landscapes.

After your game drive, continue to the Ngorongoro highlands where cooler temperatures and sweeping views create a perfect safari atmosphere. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3 — Ngorongoro Crater Safari → Return to Arusha

Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World."

This UNESCO World Heritage Site supports one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife, including rhinos, lions, elephants, hyenas, hippos, and vast herds of plains game.

After a rewarding game drive and picnic lunch near the hippo pool, ascend the crater walls and return comfortably to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
