Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 β€” Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2–3 hours).

Tarangire is famous for hosting some of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. During your game drive, you may spot lions lounging under acacia trees, giraffes browsing the treetops, and massive herds of zebra and wildebeest moving across the savannah.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon wildlife viewing along the Tarangire River β€” the park’s lifeline during the dry season.

In the late afternoon, transfer to your lodge or campsite near Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 β€” Ngorongoro Crater Safari β†’ Return to Arusha

Start early and descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the **β€œEighth Wonder of the World.”**

This natural wildlife sanctuary is home to nearly every major African species, including rhinos, lions, elephants, hippos, and vast hyena populations.

Game drives here are incredibly rewarding due to the crater’s high animal density and relatively small area.

After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, continue your wildlife exploration before ascending the crater walls and driving back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.

End of safari β€” but memories for a lifetime.
